The Golden Dawn Adeptus Minor is a Golden Dawn grade created by Samuel Liddel Mathers. It is the first grade of the Inner Order of the Ordo Rosae Rubeae et Aureae Crucis (also called the R.R. et A.C. or Order of the Rose of Ruby and the Cross of Gold).
The ritual that initiates one into the R.R. et A.C. was created by Mathers and represented with the following symbol:
It re-enacted the legend of Christian Rosenkreutz with a full-size tomb ( the Vault of the Adepti and a chamber decorated with elaborate artwork and furnishings painted by Moina Mathers. To take the ritual in this chamber, prospects were heavily scrutinized and allowed by invitation only.
The R.R. et A.C. focused on magical theory and practice based on a curriculum designed by MacGregor Mathers. Those that completed the program were considered to have a university degree in magic and all aspects relating to mysticism.
